Original Virginia Metalcrafters design. Reproduced by Williamsburg in the Summer/Fall 2007, these Sarah Coke Candlesticks are of the same quality and weight of the original from VM. Comes gift boxed with felt bag.
The Sarah Coke Candlesticks are adapted from archeological fragments found at the Coke-Garett site in Colonial Williamsburg. The original antique was unearthed in the layer of soil that dates back to the time when the site was owned by the Coke family. John Coke was a goldsmith and tavern keeper. Coke left a personal estate valued at 772 pounds (about $1,183.00) when he died in 1767. His widow, Sarah, continued to operate the house as a tavern after his death. Made of polished & lacquered brass, all of the Sarah Coke Candlesticks come gift boxed and giftbagged for your convenience.
