Original Virginia Metalcrafters design. Reproduced by Williamsburg in the Summer/Fall 2007, these Sarah Coke Table Lamps are of the same quality and weight of the original from VM.
The Sarah Coke Table Lamp is based on a design adapted from archaeological fragments found at the Coke-Garett site in Colonial Williamsburg. The original antique was unearthed in the layer of soil that dates back to the time when the site was owned by the Coke family. John Coke was a goldsmith and tavern keeper. Coke left a personal estate valued at 772 pounds (about $1,183.00) when he died in 1767. His widow, Sarah, continued to operate the house as a tavern after his death.
These lamps will make for a charming addition to your dining room or mantel. Made of polished and lacquered brass with an enameled metal candle sleeve and takes a 75 watt (max.) bulb. Measures 30" tall and comes with an ivory bengaline pleated shade.
