Chelsea Clock's brass and mahogany Mariner clock is an exact reproduction of an original yacht wheel patented and produced in 1911. The metal base and case are hand forged in solid polished brass making it one of the finest nautically themed clocks available today. The forged brass bezel opens with the original “shield” hinge and latch design making access easy. The clock’s dial is etched in brass and then hand silvered showing the attention to detail by Chelsea Clock’s skilled artisans. All polished brass and bronze metals are coated with a clear lacquer coating for years of lasting beauty and durability. The clock strikes hourly with a ship’s bell mechanism consisting of 364 brass and gold plated parts with an 11 jewel clock movement. The wood base and back are made from solid mahogany and each clock comes with a custom designed presentation gift box. With a special limited-edition run of 500 planned, this piece is a truly collectible clock.
